The carvery is fantastic. The puddings were just as good. Great price, good beer, dogs allowed in the pub seating area. Interesting rat run between different sections, plus a pool table and a lovely outside area.

Good meal, portions were fine. They have a good range of meals for dietary restrictions. Plenty of parking space. Main door seemed a bit of a hazard, having to open 3 doors that are very close to each other to get through with a pram. So uncertain how easy access is if you are in a wheelchair.

I stay fairly locally a few times a year. This pub is our go-to place for food. The menu is extensive; I’ve probably eaten here at least 50 times over the last 15 years or so. Never had a meal I didn’t really enjoy. The building itself isn’t the most characterful but that’s soon overlooked once you’re at your table. The new outside eating /drinking area is really nicely done. The bar and waiting staff are always friendly; I’m looking forward to my next visit when down again. Give it a go!

We purposely choose this pub to have an afternoon drink because the website says it’s dog-friendly. When we arrived we were told only outside! It was a very cold December day so didn't stay, In our opinion if you are dog-friendly then you should allow dogs inside, many other local food establishments do. If you have a dog and you are happy to freeze whilst having a drink then it maybe okay, such a shame.

Lovely pub, quick friendly service, all the food was tasty and the portions were generous too. The beer was tasty even if my pint was slightly hazy. If we're down this way again then we would return.

Beautiful place to have a meal inside or outside. The selection of food is amazing, the quality of the food and service was great and the portion sizes are very generous. I would highly recommend this place to everyone

Had a birthday meal with friends on Sunday evening. Great menu, we all had something different & all enjoyed our meal. It was fairly quiet (sign of the times) and the staff were excellent, checking all was OK & get more drinks etc. It was an all round enjoyable evening.

Excellent service, food and a great playspace for kids. Thoroughly enjoyed by our son. No pictures of the food because it was enjoyed straight away and was so quick to the table! Our waitress was amazing! We'll definitely be back

Had the most amazing meal, the menu is one of the best I have seen in a very long time. The new Olive Garden has been very well done and cannot wait to sit in this area again. We interacted with four members of staff who could not have been more helpful and personable.
